November is . . . Picture Book Month
November is the month when we celebrate all things Picture Books! Picture Book Month is an international literacy initiative and highlights the wonderful authors, illustrators and stories that make up so many outstanding books in this amazing genre. There are some great activities and information to be found on the Picture Book Month website.
Picture Books are for all ages and there are as many beautiful books written for older readers as there are for younger reading enthusiasts. They can be funny, sad, silly, heartbreaking, adventurous, magical, powerful, inspiring and much more. Come in to the library and look for one that captures your imagination. Here are just a few to get you started. . . |
